Services Acupuncture Acupuncture is a form of TCM used to diagnose, treat and prevent disease for the past 2,000 years. It is based on the concept of “Qi” (pronounced Chee), or energy. This energy follows specific pathways known as meridians throughout the body. Along these channels lie acupuncture points. When an acupuncture needle is inserted, it is the Qi that is affected. By needling specific points, the Qi can be tapped to influence the state of an individual’s health. Acupuncture is not a belief, but an art and science that have been successfully used to treat both people and animals. During treatments, acupuncture activates Qi points that stimulate the body’s restorative and recuperative powers. Traditional Chinese MedicineTraditional Chinese medicine is a unique system of preserving health and treating illness in the body, mind, and spirit as a whole. Its aim is to preserve harmony and restore balance to all aspects of the person while addressing the relationships between the individual and the environment. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) not only addresses the prevention of illness, but it also focuses on creating optimum health of body, mind, and spirit through acupuncture, herbs, lifestyle, and diet. Acupuncture and TraumaAcupuncture addresses trauma as a “violation” to the very essence of the “self”. This condition affects how we interpret the world while also affecting the overall health of our relationships to work and family. Acupuncture treatment helps to eliminate the stagnation of Qi created by the trauma. Herbal medicine is often incorporated to facilitate this process. Freeing and balancing the Qi allows for a healthier body, mind and spirit. Facial RejuvenationBEAUTY in Chinese medicine is more than skin deep. Much deeper! Skin beauty depends on the health of the vital organs primarily the liver, spleen, lung, kidney and heart . Proper absorption of nutrients by these organs both eliminates toxins and promotes healthy tissue growth. Through a combination of herbal medicine, simple lifestyle changes, and facial acupuncture, you will soon have a younger looking skin aglow with vitality.
